September's Featured Rescue... Iggy


Iggy has now officially started his training and is doing great. He is a quick learner and will be back in shape in no time! With Iggy's smooth gait, he will make an excellent trail and/or pleasure horse.

Welcome to the Board of Directors

We are excited to announce the return of Craig Knight to the Field of Dreams Board of Directors. Craig previously served as the president of Field of Dreams from March, 2011 - February, 2015. He is returning to FOD as a board director responsible for development. Craig has invested 30 + years building companies and creating teams of professionals to accomplish goals while developing real estate around the globe.  As an entrepreneur, Craig now provides business management and operations consulting to small and middle market companies.  Craig serves or has served on numerous NPO Boards including animal rescues, Park District and Arts Council boards, as well as real estate operations boards.  We are grateful to Craig for his long-standing commitment to FOD's mission and look forward to working closely with him again.

Make A Difference DKC Event

The Make A Difference DKC 
$10,000 Cash Raffle Fundraiser

Raffle Tickets: $20 each or 6 for $100
Tickets available during daily volunteer shifts with a Field of Dreams shift supervisor, or by emailing us here.


Field of Dreams will earn $8 for every $20 ticket sold. The remaining $12 will pack 90 meals for the children. The winning ticket will be drawn on November 13 - winner need not be present.


Every year Make a Difference DKC sets a goal of packing ONE MILLION meals for Feed My Starving Children, a not for profit organization that distributes food to 70 countries worldwide, feeding children who are most vulnerable to starvation.


The Make A Difference DKC mobile packing event, is the largest volunteer event in our community, with over 4,700 people coming together to pack meals over a three day period. Stay tuned for details on this year's packing day/time for Field of Dreams. 

Thrivent Choice 
Thrivent Choice, the member-advised charitable grant program from Thrivent Financial, continues to be a welcome funding source for nonprofit organizations nationwide. The Thrivent Choice program offers a way for eligible members to recommend the distribution of some of its charitable grant funds each year.
