KYB Dressage

August 28, 2017

We would like to extend our most since gratitude to KYB Dressage for their recent work with our rescues- Iggy and Beamer.

Yvonne Barteau of KYB Dressage, is one of the most accomplished dressage riders in the nation. She has trained horses to the grand prix level, written many books and produced videos, been published in numerous magazines, and is a sought after speaker/instructor on equine personalities and temperaments, and strategies for identifying and training the different personality types.

In addition to her many accomplishments, Yvonne is interested in helping reduce the unwanted horse population. It is her belief that training is the single most important factor in helping protect horses and keep them from becoming unwanted.

Recently Yvonne reached out to FOD and offered to apply her personality assessment tools to our rescue horses.  Based on the results of the assessment, the rescue horse's training can be more focused on an area that better matches his personality/temperament resulting in a rescue that is more appropriately trained and therefore, more adoptable.

Here are two beautiful videos which showcase the assessments of both Iggy and Beamer. Thank you Yvonne and KYB Dressage; we are truly grateful for your support.
